　　Trauma Per Diem Physician Assistant (PA) / Overview UHS is growing and we are seeking a per diem Physician Assistant (PA) in our Trauma Department to help with our expansion in Trauma APP services to 24/7. This position will work at our Wilson Medical Center.

　　We are seeking either experienced or newly graduated PAs, motivated or experienced critical care or surgical nurse practitioners with RNFA certification candidates in our Trauma Center.

　　The Trauma Advanced Practice Provider (Trauma APP) coordinates clinical management of trauma patients throughout the continuum of care in collaboration with the attending trauma surgeon. The Trauma APP collaborates with the entire interdisciplinary trauma team ensuring continuity of high-quality care, family support, implementation of best practices and timely provision of clinical services.

　　Minimum requirements:

　　Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program; current NYS license; BLS for Healthcare Provider, ACLS and PALS Provider; ATLS certification (within 6 months of hire); Demonstration of clinical decision-making skills.

　　Ability to effectively communicate with medical staff, healthcare clinicians, patients, families and the public; Strong computer skills; Ability to establish priorities and complete activities independently or with limited supervision.
