  As a Transportation Structures Principal and a vital member of our Bridge Team, you’ll have the opportunity to act as a subject matter expert on complex structures and work on a variety of challenging transportation projects throughout the United States. You’ll manage structural design teams and resolve complicated structural issues that may arise. Our transportation projects include signature long span bridges, concrete bridges, steel bridges, light rail bridges, high-speed rail bridges, bridge seismic retrofit and rehabilitation, load rating, and other transportation structures. Working with a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll work to solve problems and challenges in a team environment where everyone is valued.

  Our Senior Bridge Engineers:

  · Lead successful delivery of quality projects from conceptual design through preliminary, and final design phases to construction

  · Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages

  · Identify creative and innovative bridge engineering solutions

  · Provide technical guidance, oversight, and perform quality reviews

  · Train, direct, and mentor junior engineers

  · Coordinate project milestones and workload with other Senior Bridge Engineers

  · Assist in project pursuits to win work, coordinating with client account management leads

  · Assist in business development and proposal efforts

  · Maintain and/or develop relationships with new and existing clients to determine their needs and manage expectations

  The base salary range for this position is $157,200 to $275,200 for a Specialist level position and $184,800 to $323,500 for an Expert level position. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  Here’s what you’ll need :

  · Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  · PE and SE registration Washington

  · At least 15 years’ experience, predominantly in bridge design and construction.

  · Significant experience on large, multidisciplinary bridge design projects

  · Experience leading design teams

  · Experience using structural and bridge analysis and design software such as Midas Civil CSi Bridge, LARSA, SAP2000, LPILE, LEAP Bridge/ConSpan/PGSuper, MDX, spColumn, AASHTOWare BrR, and/or other software packages

  · Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of technical standards for bridge design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance including AASHTO LRFD and state-specific guidelines

  · Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation

  Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  · Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering

  · Existing relationships with local municipal agencies

  · Alternative delivery project experience including Design-Build (DB) and Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC)

  · Experience with multiple structure types including long span bridges, concrete girder bridges, steel bridges, light rail bridges, high-speed rail bridges, bridge seismic retrofit and rehabilitations, load ratings, and design of bridges in moderate to high seismic areas
