About Transportation Coordinator

  Job Description:

  TTI Power Equipment, has an opening in its Anderson, SC office right off of I-85 for a Transportation Coordinator. This individual will coordinate with other TTI personnel and carriers to schedule timely pick up / deliveries of product, while also assisting other distribution staff as needed. This will include securing proof of delivery documents, filing of claims with carriers, requesting rates from both domestic and international transportation providers, and resolving billing errors.

  Primary Responsibilities

  Contact carriers to request rates for non-contracted moves and special deliveries. Communicate with management and other TTI associates to confirm shipments will arrive on time at the lowest cost possible.

  Arrange all store-to-store Direct Tool shipments and create accurate shipping documents in SAP and distribute to necessary personnel carriers. Maintain Bill of Lading file by carrier.

  Arrange small parcel pickups of company product from customers by initiating call tags with FedEx and UPS customer pickups. Track the shipments as necessary and provide updates.

  Validate ocean carrier detention invoices and enter charges into the SAP container database. Contact steamship lines with billing errors and corrections. Provide management with updates and reports.

  Research customer chargebacks and request proof of delivery documents from carriers. Work with office and warehouse personnel to determine causes/backup to dispute chargebacks. Provide updates to Accounts Receivable and key status changes in SAP. File claims with the carriers as necessary.

  Work with other TTI personnel on the issuing of Return Goods Authorizations and communicate to the customers and carriers as requested.

  Contact carriers and resolve billing discrepancies to successfully ensure that accurate billing is received prior to payment.

  Maintain all departmental manual and electronic files.

  Create and maintain transportation Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and provide weekly/monthly reports to management.

  Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

  Requirements

  High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

  Minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics/distribution.

  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.

  Must have the ability to work independently, while being able to multitask.

  Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
