Job Responsibilities:
Verifies all information needed to safely transport patient with nursing staff.
Follows established protocols for properly identifying patients.
Assures patient comfort during transport.
Assures that patient privacy.
Monitors patient’s condition during transport.
Demonstrates ability to handle confidential information with discretion following system confidentiality guidelines.
Adheres to universal precautions. Follows departmental and system safety procedures.
Demonstrates flexibility to adjust schedules in response to volume.
Coordinates efforts to maintain efficient workflow including transport of patients, specimen and other duties as assigned within scope of responsibility.
Review and revise policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
C.N.A certification preferred.
Prior patient transport experience preferred.
Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as be a member of the patient care team.
Able to prioritize tasks as needed.
Exhibits attributes conducive to excellent customer service.
Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to patients, staff, and the health system.
Requirements:
3 years of previous health care experience required.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00
