Position Summary/Description:
The Foundation Accountant is responsible for the financial operations of the Dental Foundation of NC, Inc., a non-profit 501 (3) organization whose purpose is to promote and support the Adams School of Dentistry (‘ ASOD ’) at the University of North Carolina. The primary purpose of this role is to perform the day-to-day financial activities of the Foundation, including bookkeeping, account reconciliations, financial reporting and the preparation of financial statements. The position will report to the Financial Affairs Office and interact with DFNC , the School’s faculty, staff and students, the University’s Development, Finance, Payroll and Investment Offices. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure the fulfillment of the fiduciary responsibility of the Foundation to the donors, Board of Directors, the Adams School of Dentistry, as well as the University.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of five years of accounting experience demonstrating the ability to manage accounting software and support accrual accounting.
Peoplesoft and Infoporte experience. Experience with the University financial systems and policies.
