**Job duties:Responsible for overseeing installations, operation, maintenance, and repair of large and extra-large electric motors, generators and mechanical and electrical components for the electrical power generating industry, including wind and steam engine turbines, distribution transformers, and large power generators; Reviewing relevant data provided by the customer, including drawings, performance requirements, and reports on past performance; Preparing appropriate engineering documents to guide technicians in the inspection and measurement process; Troubleshooting the problems reported; Reviewing inspection data collected by the technicians; Creating a report with a recommendation to the customer for repairs; Preparing a package of engineering documents to guide shop personnel in the repair process; developing models to test feasibility of new repair methods and designs using SolidWorks and ANSYS; Monitoring the implementation of the repair plan, and documenting the repair process; Working with engineering, quality, and operations, to drive continuous improvement in products and processes to meet the requirements for internal and external auditing; Identifying and communicating audit trends; Developing procedures for testing products, investigating root causes, determining possible solutions; Implementing and tracking corrective actions with other engineers and maintenance crew; Reviewing new and/or revising internal standard processes and special process documents; Assisting the quality manager, as needed, by researching and analyzing customers design proposals, specifications, and performance manuals, to determine feasibility of design or application; Developing models of alternate processing methods to test feasibility of new applications of system components; Recommending implementation procedures; testing the ability of machines to perform specific tasks; Assisting technical drafters in developing structural designs of products; Using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to prepare compliance reports.
**Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, related or equivalent, and knowledge based on education, training or experience in using a 2D and 3D design/modeling software, such as SolidWorks.
