Role Definition
The incumbent, as key talent of CQL Engineering Upper Powertrain team, is mainly responsible for upper powertrain systems & components development for NPI, CPI, cost reduction and maintenance of both SEM and Cat products.
Responsibilities
Research and develop new technology of L1L 4 TC and Transmission and provide MGPP suggestion.
Create concepts and direct the design and development of components and subsystems, such as TC, clutch, gear train, bearing.
Master basic knowledge of power match and transmission drive line concept development.
Capability of complex geometric tolerance of multiple component systems
Responsible for quality and cost, implementation for NPI, CPI and cost reduction. Work with team to meet PQVC requirements.
Follow APQP and FMEA process to evaluate new products risk, identify and resolve problems by making simulation analysis and validation plan.
Support product maintenance and work from aftermarket

Degree required
Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or Materials Science curriculum,
Skill Descriptors--- Transmission product development or excellent analytical experience.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Knowledge of design for manufacturability guidelines, methodologies, and use cases; ability to use this knowledge to optimize product designs and manufacturing operations.
Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
