Trade Manager - Ag Services - Tuscola, IL
This is a full-time, exempt position.
Main Functions:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is an intermediate position within the Tuscola Ag Services Team. This position will be accountable for the merchandising corn, soybeans, and wheat for our rail and truck facilities. This person will work in a team environment within the Ag Services and Oilseeds group while also interacting with other divisions on a daily basis. This person will be responsible for assisting in the development of the purchase and sales strategy, position management (spreads, basis, flat price), building and maintaining external and internal accounts, logistics, accounting, and other customer related issues. This position requires a higher level of strategic thinking, market knowledge, trading acumen and employee development.
KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
University degree in agriculture or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting), supplemented with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in commodity merchandising. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Demonstrated capacity to excel within high risk, fast-paced work environment. Proven ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions. Demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the domestic and international trade. Proven ability to manage effectively within a team based work environment. Computer competent, with demonstrated ability in the use of spreadsheet, database, and word processing software. Applications within a windows based operating environment. Effectively use communication channels for proper coordination within the office and other locations

Is willing to work outside normal business hours including weekends
