Provides accurate and timely local subject matter expertise to business teams
Prepares, executes, and manages export authorizations and records
Reviews and approves import/export documentation
Requests and manages carnets
Manages temporary exports
Reviews and updates Trade Compliance policies and procedures
Facilitates foreign travel briefings and foreign visitor approvals
Investigations of potential violations and collaborates with Trade Compliance management to prepare voluntary disclosures and track corrective actions
Participates in the planning and execution of audits
Develops and deploys training
Manages denied party screening compliance
Completes annual SME training
Identify and recommends process improvements
Reports to the Senior Manager, Trade Compliance in the Advanced Combat Systems sector of L3Harris, Space and Airborne Systems
Essential Functions:
Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, OFAC and Customs regulations including providing compliance guidance to both internal and external customers.
Provide leadership to business teams
Efficiently and effectively manages a diverse workload to include competing priorities and deadlines, ensuring on-time completion of activities.
Preparation and management of export authorizations
Certify appropriate legal authority for compliance for international shipments
Uses thorough understanding and knowledge of the ITAR and EAR regulations in everyday job duties
Analyzes (determine root cause), researches (develop solutions) and solves issues in import, export, and compliance activities.
Qualifications:
Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
10+ years of relevant job experience.
Must possess full working knowledge or ITAR, EAR, OFAC and Customs regulations.
Must possess verbal and communication skills needed to interact with all internal and external customers.
Must possess advanced organizational skills.
Must be familiar with Incoterms.
Must be familiar with air, ocean, and ground-based logistics.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with OCR EASE
U.S. Security clearance is preferred but not required
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
LO/CLO Experience
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $115,000-214,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
