DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis is professional engineering work in the design, review, and management of construction projects at Fort Indiantown Gap. Your duties will include utilizing AutoCAD to design mechanical systems to ensure conformance with mechanical engineering standards of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems. You will also review mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection designs from hired professionals for DMVA facilities and make recommendations as required. Additionally, you will investigate and determine the condition of mechanical systems and make recommendations for repair or replacement.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.Travel and overtime as needed.Work hours and travel may change based on operational need.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days a week. You will telework on Monday and Friday and report to the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This is subject to operational requirements. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as a Mechanical Engineer 1; orTwo years of professional mechanical engineering experience which required work on any structural mechanical system, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; orTwo years of professional mechanical engineering experience which required work on any structural mechanical system, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Special Requirement:This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
