  Job ID359191 LocationDuluth Job FamilyEducation-General Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code8315A2 Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job The Title IV-E Child Welfare Training Program provides support to students who plan on working in public or Tribal child welfare after graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree in social work. The Title IV-E Program Support Specialist is responsible for program support, coordination and administration, in addition to ongoing curriculum analysis related to the assessment of Title IV-E allowable topics. Essential Functions: IV-E program support (30%) Create and distribute a Title IV-E digital newsletter Assist in meeting logistics for Child Welfare Scholar meetings as needed Assist in logistical coordination for the IV-E funded conferences such as venue contracting, registration, agenda preparation and nametags Assist in annual survey and evaluation Student Files Administration (25%) Move student files to the University server annually Process admissions forms for new Child Welfare Scholars Maintain the Child Welfare Scholar database Process, submit and track stipend payments Create payment summaries for job paybacks as scholars graduate Submit student files to the UM Student Account Assistance office when financial paybacks are required Contact students for forms as needed IV-E curriculum analysis (25%) Complete an ongoing curriculum analysis of the social work program to ensure compliance with Title IV-E regulations IDI Program Coordination (10%) Purchase IDI assessments as needed Send IDI assessments and information to students on request of the IDI team Create and maintain an IDI database Other (10%) Assist with reports as requested Attend departmental, Center for Regional and Tribal Child Welfare Studies, and other committee meetings as required Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: BA/BS with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal six years. Experience working with technology including databases, word processing, spreadsheets Preferred: Experience and/or clear understanding of child welfare Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and complex tasks Proven ability to develop relationships with diverse communities and people, especially American Indians An understanding of historical and current issues impacting American Indian and other students of color Understanding and sensitivity to cultural diversity Evidence of strong interpersonal skills in working with others Demonstrated effective planning and organizational skills Strong written communication skills Benefits Working at the University At the University of Minnesota, you'll find a flexible work environment and supportive colleagues who are interested in lifelong learning.
