Corrects data entry errors or reports them to supervisors
Qualifications for Position:H.S. diploma or equivalent
Data entry experience or strong keying skills preferred
Previous Payroll knowledge helpful
Ability to understand English
Strong mathematic skills
Basic PC Skills (Excel and DOS experience helpful)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing
Detail oriented and ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills to identify best practices and process improvements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriatelyEssential Functions and Responsibilities:
Becomes well versed in the Ford UAW contracts for US hourly employees
Performs manual calculations for payroll processing, including past period adjustments, based on knowledge of contractual pay rules
Addresses payroll related inquiries from plant supervisors and superintendents, UAW representatives, Human Resource personnel and labor relations staff
Tracks documents received, reviews data for discrepancies, and requests clarification or advises supervisor of any issues
Compares data with source documents and verifies data entry through audit reports
Performs corrections to inaccurate entries and calculations when necessary
Maintains spreadsheets, reports, and reconciliations of data by strict weekly deadlines
Adheres to strict company policies regarding internal controls and audits
Works independently to meet performance deadlines while providing assistance to a team when needed
Maintains a safe and clean workspace
