Job Overview
The Associate Clinical Manager is responsible for managing a unit/departmentby implementing and maintaining specific policies, procedures, andguidelines; leading team members in providing direct patient care bydemonstrating expert clinical knowledge; ensuring compliance with qualityand safety initiatives and practices; and partnering with amultidisciplinary team in meeting the clinical needs of patients and familiesThe Associate Clinical Manager also provides leadership and management tounit/department team members. Finally, the Associate Clinical Managerserves as a charge nurse by preparing schedules and assigning team members topatients; overseeing the admission, discharge, and general flow ofpatients; and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a Level 4, 82-bed regionalreferral center for the seven-state region with a platinum-level designationfor ECMO. We treat neonate, infant and pediatric patients less than 2 yearsold with conditions including hypoxemic respiratory failure, infections,hematological, neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic disorders,single major or multiple anomalies requiring diagnostic work-up and/orsurgical intervention. We provide continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT), renal dialysis and body cooling for neonates among many othertherapies to provide the highest level of neonatal care to infants and theirfamilies. The culture in the NICU includes great teamwork and support fornurses who are learning and growing. This position is eligible for relocation assistance, if relocating from 100miles or greater.Department: Level Four-NICUHours per week: 40, eligible for benefitsShift: 2-12 hour night shifts per week and 2-8-hour (day/evening ornights) office shifts for management responsibilities including roundingwith direct reports, supporting individuals and teams with a focus on keyclinical quality and safety initia ives.
Qualifications
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Master's degree in Nursing or adirectly related health care field is preferred.EXPERIENCE - Three years of clinical experience.LICENSURE - Registered Nurse (RN)CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with atleast 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire. ANCC recognizedcertification in clinical specialty within 6 months of hire. Depending on theunit/department, employees may also be required to have a PediatricAdvanced Life Support (PALS), Adult Advanced Life Support (ACLS),and/or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
