Position Summary:
Depending on operation, the Test Technician will perform any or all the following operations:
Performs functional testing of UPS, Charger and Inverter modules.
Conducts witness tests and/or assist Test Engineers conducting witness tests.
The position will be responsible for verifying conformance to all specified requirements.
Performing electrical tests and systems testing on UPS units
Design and develop instrumentation systems that incorporate uncertainty analysis to produce the most accurate testing systems.
Collection of data with electronic equipment.
Duties include, but are not limited to, physical inspection and the functional inspection of electrical components, the operation of test bays/stations and associated equipment and troubleshooting and/or repairing faulty components.
Must assess product evaluation against engineered standards which may include UL/CSA/IEEE standards. Review order write-ups, operate components, ensure product quality, work with other areas to ensure quality, and verify units to meet agency approvals.
Configure and connect system equipment (switchgear, SCCT cabinets, and power ties), and perform preliminary inspection and tests.
2nd shift role: 2:30pm-11:00pm Overtime will be required. Saturdays as well.
1st shift 6am-2:30pm. Overtime will be required, potentially Saturday's as well.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors or associates in Electronics -2+ years of electronics experience
Electronic testing experience -Knowledge of electrical circuitry
