  Your Role and Responsibilities

  We are looking for a talented and passionate UX/UI designer to join our team who has a deep understanding of UX principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. To be successful in this role, you should have an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of current UX trends. You will be responsible for project engagements including deliverables (such as concepts, wireframes, interactive prototypes, specifications, etc.), engagement agreements and timelines. Craft user experiences alongside key product stakeholders to understand and support product business goals, advocating user centered design industry best practices, and effectively managing design resources. Design wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts, interactions, and user flows. Develop visually appealing and brand-consistent designs, including layouts, typography, and graphics. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.

  Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  5-8 years experience designing human centric solutions with best practices in mind

  Experienced-level UX/UI design skills, including interface design, wireframing & prototyping.

  Experienced-level competency with common design tools, such as Figma, Adobe XD, etc.

  Familiarity with design systems.

  Experience in defining and executing UX Metrics assessments.

  Competency with standard presentation programs Powerpoint & Keynote.

  Strong portfolio showing a breadth of complex, technically-oriented projects.

  Ability to drive design requirements and get alignment across functions

  Core skills:

  Interpreting research insights and building understanding of users and context

  Defining user experience goals and design principles

  Applying knowledge of psychological and physical attributes of humans (e.g. Hick's Law, Fitt's Law)

  Designing the architecture of the functions and information of the experience

  Designing the interaction patterns between functions/information and users/customers

  Designing pathways of navigation through an experience; demonstrating understanding of content, functions, and relationships within the system

  Design user experiences based on scenarios and user flows.

  Create wireframes, interfaces and prototypes for design concepts based on clear understanding of users, clients, and their desired outcomes and in accordance with interaction design principles.

  Autonomously create high-fidelity screens and specs ready for development.

  Expand knowledge of and contribute to the Carbon library.

  Evaluate and understand existing design patterns.

  Lead ideation activities to solve user experience issues.

  Contribute to a product/project independently and in alignment with timeline and roadmap milestones.

  Take ownership of work product and perform daily tasks with autonomy.

  Take accountability for turning client/user insights into action.

  Ensure accessibility guidelines are upheld in designs.

  Know when and where to seek help/feedback. Perform visual audits to ensure high a quality is implemented.

  Deepen knowledge of and experience with the EDT framework.

  Develop mid-level literacy in AI.

  Develop mid-level knowledge of IBM Experience Standards.
