　　The Telephone Operator monitors all incoming and outgoing telecommunications activities regarding hospital wide communication efforts.

　　Responsibilities

　　Handles incoming calls and paging requests connecting parties if possible and /or providing information as requested.

　　Answers priority calls promptly, determines the nature of the emergency and accurately executes procedures contained in hospital and department manuals.

　　Requirements/Qualifications

　　Experience with personal computer, data entry, word processing, and windows environment.
