Description:

PPS is looking for a hands-on candidate to help in their growth and modernization of schools in Portland. Wide range of networking experience needed - IP networking / access control / voip / VPN / workstations / set up of new network infrastructure / and more. This role is structured as 6 month contract but they have 1.5+ years of work for all the school they need to cover. Long term contract - no doubt. Boots on the ground, lots of walking, semi-physically intensive.

Job description:

Collaborate with the district Telecom/Access Control/Physical Security teams.

Full-time/40 hours per week/no overtime requirement.

Occasional evening or weekend work with flexible hours.

Work start time is flexible with supervisor approval.

Some telecommuting may be allowed.

Office space, laptop and monitors will be provided.

Office located at 501 N. Dixon St., Portland, Oregon, 97227.

Work Duties:

Monitor OSM associated workload, resolve or escalate as needed.

Support district capital project teams.

Perform site visits to resolve tickets and to upgrade or test equipment.

Complete phone Add, Move and Change requests.

Online meetings for project and team collaboration.

Attend ad-hoc and weekly TechOps training.

Perform other duties depending on qualifications
