Your responsibilities:
You will be responsible for establishing the Technology Centre (TC) mission, vision, and organizational structure to support the global long-term strategy.You will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope and that appropriate competencies are developed and acquired within the team to support the development of future products and systems. Ensures (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed. Guides motivates and develops direct and indirect employees with the support of HR processes.You will be collaborating with the global Technology Management Team and cross-functionally for sharing of best practices, and processes and to ensure knowledge transfer among all the relevant parts of the organization. Sets up and maintains channels for sharing knowledge and state-of-the-art developments from different sources (HER, universities, etc.).You will develop a culture of quality and openness. Ensure employees can challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects, and/or processes.You will actively contribute to technical bodies both inside and outside the Company. Promotes Hitachi Energy R&D internally and externally to foster cooperation and knowledge sharing with external resources and communities. Builds, develops, and maintains strong relationships with internal and external (customers, universities, etc.) contacts. Oversees appropriate participation from Hitachi Energy in relevant international technical committees. Acts as a local technology expert for special tasks in the wider organization. Manages collaboration with local universities.You will ensure action is taken to manage risks. Supports appropriate protection of newly created intellectual property and assists in defense and enforcement activities of related technology. Supports monitoring and alerting IP issues to higher-level management.You will prepare annual and multi-year budgets in cooperation with local & and global management and ensure spending is within the approved budget.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background:
Master's or Doctor's degree in engineering or related field.5+ years of leadership management experience.Proven business acumen and global mindset. Track record in working in multi-national organizations.Possesses sound knowledge of R&D activities and project management.Excellent influencing and coaching skills.Excellent verbal and communication skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.Proficient in written and spoken English. Chinese of advantage.
