　　About the position

　　The person occupying the position of vehicle and equipment technician - mechanic will take care of the preventive and corrective maintenance of the organization's entire vehicle fleet. This fleet is made up of road vehicles, vans, road-rail type vehicles, heavy machinery, railway maintenance machinery, nacelles and various other equipment such as mechanical brooms and snow blowers. These vehicles and equipment run on diesel and sometimes gasoline.

　　First, the successful candidate will have to determine the organization's needs in terms of tools necessary to ensure the maintenance of the vehicle fleet. He/she will have to set up the vehicle maintenance workshop located in St-Eustache.

　　The position holder must ensure that all preventive/corrective maintenance ranges, regulatory checks and recalls on vehicles are created, monitored and carried out according to the determined schedule. Managing the monitoring of applicable guarantees and compliance with service agreements are also part of the position's tasks.

　　He/she will have to carry out and/or supervise subcontractors carrying out minor and major repairs and ensure routine maintenance of the vehicle fleet in strict compliance with health and safety procedures as defined by legislation and company policies. the company.

　　He/she must:

　　Record all activities (work orders/inspections) through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS);

　　Adhere to quality procedures;

　　Read and understand plans, drawings, manuals and inspection and cleaning procedures;

　　Drive company vehicles;

　　Respect, clean and keep your work environment safe;

　　Lift and transport heavy parts and tools (approximately 50 pounds).

　　In the performance of his duties, the employee will sometimes be required to work outside in different weather conditions (snow, rain, heat, cold).

　　The position will ultimately be based in St-Eustache. However, for the first months, the person will be based in Brossard. During their shift, the person will be required to travel within the greater Montreal metropolitan area according to operational needs.

　　This is a day position Monday through Friday.

　　What profile are we looking for?

　　Diploma of professional studies in mechanics of construction machinery, heavy vehicles

　　Have 3 to 5 years of experience managing a mechanical workshop

　　Have 3 to 5 years of experience as a mechanic

　　Hold a Class 3 driving license

　　Experience driving machinery and road-rail vehicles an asset

　　Be skilled with hand tools and power equipment

　　Good general knowledge of the MS-Office suite

　　Knowledge of Maximo CMMS software an asset

　　Soft skills are important

　　Excellent aptitude for interpersonal communications and teamwork;

　　Rigor and attention to detail;

　　Dynamic, proactive and autonomous spirit.
