Conducts field checks of service monitors and answers questionsabout job assignments. Ensures compliance with collective bargainingagreement. Facilitates employee record keeping functions - FMLA requests,workers' compensation claims, voting for days off, shift preference,voluntary overtime, vacations and special requests. Inputs and authorizespay, expense reports and car allowances.Coordinates with service development staff and other departments to identifyroutes, blocks and trips to be surveyed. Creates collective bargainingagreement compliant work shift assignments for service monitors. Developsplans and coordinates effort between the assignment of service monitors andAPC (Automated Passenger Counter) equipped buses, rail divisions andprivate carrier bus divisions, identifies routes, blocks and trips to besurveyEnsures that all data-collection users of Ridecheck Plus have up-to-date routeand schedule information when changes occur.Ensures the maximum numbers of routes are completely surveyed in order thatcomplete and accurate ridership and on-time performance may be estimated foreach route/service level and ensures that trips required for the NationalTransportation Database (NTDB) are completed.Provides assistance with computer technology associated with the servicemonitoring job function, supports field data collection tablet PC devicesand coordinates maintenance/replacement with IT staff.Works with the software vendor and users to troubleshoot issues and to makeimprovements in the software and trains users in data collection as needed.Other:All job-related duties as assigned.
