　　Position Summary

　　The Technician B position will assist with cell culture, molecular and preclinical animal studies. The position involves processing of primary tissue samples and culture/analysis of cells. The candidate should be motivated to participate in sample processing both from preclinical modeling experiments as well as therapeutic studies. This position affords the motivated technician an opportunity to develop/utilize both tissue culture and molecular biology skills.

　　Responsibilities

　　Husbandry and maintenance of animal colonyWeekly palpation and ultrasound of study mice Necropsy of sick and study mice followed by organoid isolation, 2D cell establishment, biobanking (FFPE, OCT, snap-frozen tissue, cryopreserved tumor pieces, plasma), and histology submission. Update necropsy records accordingly.Establish and cryopreserve lab common mouse and human organoid linesPrepare and QC Rspondin/Wnt/Noggin conditioned media for organoid culturePurchasing and maintenance of lab reagents and instrumentsMonitor and maintain backup supply of all common lab reagents, liquid nitrogen, and office suppliesMaintain lab inventories of reagentsLiaise with sales reps and service technicians on pricing and maintenance of lab instrumentsMinimum Qualifications

　　Bachelor's degree is required in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience with mouse models, in vivo drug administration, cell biology assays e.g. flow cytometry, and/or molecular biology techniques is desired. Previous experience in 3D cell culture.
