Staff Assistant
POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Staff Assistant to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in our Austin, Texas office.
Responsibilities:
Perform office reception tasks: greet visitors, answer phones, update contact lists, ship packages, book conference rooms, order catering services, etc.
Work in office five (5) days a week, Monday - Friday from 8am – 5pm.
Provide general office administrative and clerical support to project engineers, project managers, staff assistants, and other departmental personnel.
Provide document control, including typing transmittals letters and documents and managing electronic files.
Submit deliverable packages and maintain document control system for project files.
Provide project administrative support by scheduling and coordinating project meetings and taking meeting minutes.
Process office and field expense reports.
Submit requisitions for vendors and supplies.
Assist in new employee orientation and onboarding.
Maintain consistency with POWER administrative practices.
Perform Office Administrator duties as applicable.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
High School diploma required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.
Desired Education/Experience:
Associates degree in Business Administration and/or related field experience
Experience on project team environment
Proficient in Bentley ProjectWise software
Two (2) + years’ experience in an office or engineering environment
