About Technical Sales Representative

  Description

  Job Responsibilities:

  Serve as technical subject matter expert for pipe wrap products in leak sealing industry.

  Run calculations to develop pipe wrap engineering packages for customer leak sealing jobs.

  Work to enhance/improve the engineering package tool and associated forms.

  Quick response - send packages back to customers within 2 hours of submission.

  Conduct calls with customer engineers and other contacts to answer their questions and ensure they are comfortable with our recommendations.

  Call existing customers to make them aware of products and pursue orders.

  Provide sales training and field support to service companies and end users.

  Present company value proposition, benefits, and features of our pipe wrap technology to target end users to peak their interest and to ultimately accept the product.

  Works well with technical and marketing teams to improve existing and develop new marketing materials for Deacon products.

  Provide written reports and presentations to DEACON management and prospects as required.

  Utilize company CRM tool to manage pipeline of opportunities.

  Collect competitive intelligence and report to DEACON to help drive success with DEACON programs, products, etc.

  Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

  Essential Skills & Experience:

  Bachelor’s degree (Engineering a plus).

  5+ years Technical Sales experience in the Industrial, Oil & Gas Midstream & Downstream

  Experience selling and/or working with pipe wrap products is strongly preferred.

  Ability to work independently and strong organizational skills to manage time, territory, and resources effectively.

  Willing to travel 20%.

  Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

  Must be a self-starter with a high sense of urgency.

  Strong follow-through skills to close leads and action items.
