Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, other engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.
Experience in mechanical safety or designing and constructing buildings, industrial systems, or infrastructure products.
Experience evaluating safety in engineering and design solutions and implementing systems to manage and track risk.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in collaboration and relationship-building with cross-functional teams and executive-level stakeholders.
Knowledge of data center operations, facilities management, engineering, and construction.
Ability to identify key issues, gather and analyze large complex data sets to support hypotheses, and develop actionable recommendations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

As a Mechanical Design Safety Technical Program Manager within our Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management (CSRM) Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team, you will lead proactive EHS integration into the design of mechanical infrastructure products and new data center building projects. This upstream approach aims to mitigate downstream risks to our employees, partners, and the environment across the data center lifecycle. You will collaborate with all levels of personnel to develop innovative tools and processes that support team goals.
Working closely with key stakeholders from Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Operations, and EHS, as well as external partners, you will continuously evaluate program risks and opportunities, formulating work plans to execute on agreed objectives. Your projects will often span offices and time zones, requiring you to maintain seamless coordination among all players to ensure project progress and meet deadlines.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$208,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end EHS reviews as the EHS stakeholder in new mechanical infrastructure product and data center building designs, and act as the mechanical design safety SME for the CSRM-EHS organization upstream of Construction. Lead the design risk assessment process by ensuring integration of our EHS Owner program requirements and facilitate the creation of quality Design for Safety deliverables throughout the design lifecycle. Work with key stakeholders to explore new innovative technologies and opportunities to improve safety through engineering and design solutions. Evaluate design-related mechanical safety risks identified during Construction and Operations and lead a cross-functional collaborative effort to address them at both site and programmatic levels. Travel up to 25% as needed.
