Job Description This role is a hyflex work arrangement: Approximately 3 days onsite per week in Red Wing, MN headquarters office, with remote work eligibility the remainder of the week. Red Wing Shoes is seeking a Technical Developer to join our Product Creation team. This role is responsible for providing strategic support for the innovation, design, development, sourcing Red Wing brand workwear, and global manufacturing partners- from product brief to commercialization. RESPONSIBLITIES: Manage and lead the technical development of all assigned projects from design concept through production. Manage and own specifications for all products, Bill of Materials, samples associated with each program and the maintenance of all within the tools and systems. Manage and lead all strategic milestones meetings for workwear development within the Go-To-Market Process. Work closely with Quality Assurance Team to achieve fit intent, consistent fit, performance, and all regulatory standards. Material development to meet brief on cost (ability to provide cost engineering solutions) and certifications. Qualifications Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience or a minimum of 5 years' practical experience in apparel technical design and development; Experience and efficiency in cost and lead time management; Experience with patternmaking and textiles preferred. Candidate should have strong product acumen of apparel product development, process, systems, sourcing and manufacturing; Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a cross-functional Team environment; Strong relationship building skills to enable collaboration with cross functional teams and navigate cross culturally; Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to adjust communication content and approach to the audience, as well as lead group discussions and milestone meetings to influence and impact working teams; Strong project management skills in order to drive to milestones and manage cost and resources across multiple projects; Ability to read, understand and build a tech pack; Ability to proactively solve problems utilizing knowledge of patterns, grading, safety certifications and costing in order to meet brief requirements and release for production; Ability to travel internationally.
