Role Overview :
Responsible for preparing manufacturing documentation, taking them from initial drafts to volume manufacturing. The daily tasks include creation, review, modification and validation of manufacturing documentats to facilitate manufacturing/assembly at the supplier level and in Applied Materials manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
Interfaces with New Product Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians and Quality teams to develop optimal operation sequences for parts and assemblies.
Interact with all stakeholders of the TcE MPP development team, gather the requirements, identify the gaps between the Applied requirements to the available options on the TcE MPP tool, submit the change requests to update the MPP tool, provide the ideas to SME for customizing the MPP tool.
Review PBOM Structure template.
Provide guidance to manage Options, Kits & Parts on PBOM with help of setting variance rules.
Develop BKMs to support coexistence of Legacy & other products with mix of transitioned and legacy Kits.
BOM Variant configuration supporting PDD, PBOM & BOP together.
Review our change management and identify gaps and industry BKMs.
Review BOP Structure template
Provide guidance to Linkage of PDD to PBOM to BOP and Part flow & traceability.
Simmply the approach to consume (PBOM) and build BOP.
Provide guidance to create the work instructions (OMS)
Customize the BOP columns as per Applied’s requirements
Provide the solutions for BOP issues like, sequencing of data sets & instructions
Review Teamcenter BOP and iOMS integration approach.
Visually show background kits in multiple positions without duplicating BOM
Identifies key areas for product improvements and coordinates with other engineering functions to implement changes.
Work closely with manufacturing operations management to prioritize areas for manufacturing documentation improvements.
Provide guidance to implement MRL to make use tools on BOP and work instructions
Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works.
Desirable Skills:
Manufacturing and assembly techniques, bill of materials, product/personel safety requirements, material handling, and trouble shooting.
Requires demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering discipline, theories, practices and principles.
Requires knowledge necessary to perform the job function such as an understanding of the engineering change order process, product development process, value engineering etc
Would be able to establish the link between Applied MES and TcE MPP
Essential Skills:
Requires strong skills in Product technology, Product Configuration and Variant option, change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, personal effectiveness, team skills, and quality.
Strong communication skills and able to understand the business requirement and convert them into IT requirements.
Working Knowledge of Teamcentr Manufacturing Process Planner.
Working experience in implementation of EBOM/MBOM/BOP/ in Teamcenter.
Working knowledge of BOP (Bill of process) Creation : Creation of BOP Structure (Main process, Sub Process, operation, Different types Part consumption etc), Perform Accountability Check, BOP Release process,
Hands on experience in implementing the requirements related to Tc Mfg, Tc Effectivity, 150% BOM.Hands on experience in applying Varient rule in BOP.
Knowledge on Line balancing using PERT .
Working Knowledge on MRL (Master Resource Library).
Hands on experience in Creating illustration in TCMFG integrated Vismok up.
Working knowledge of CAD tools (UG-NX & Team center).
Working knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Executation System)
Requires additional knowledge of systems and software necessary such as MS Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Should have experience in using and customizing the EWI or any alternative work space of TcE MPP
