Monroe:
The sixth UGN facility in Monroe, Ohio, officially opened in September 2015. The state-of-the-art facility has more than 375 team members and supplies Honda Motor Co. with superior acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies. In the fall of 2018, UGN expanded the Monroe plant by adding another 150,000 square feet to the $50 million, 232,500 square foot facility to supply Toyota and Subaru. The UGN Monroe facility has already distinguished itself to Honda for exceptional service. Every year, Honda recognizes suppliers who increase value to the customer by removing waste within the overall product and supply chain. The Monroe facility was presented with the award in November, 2016.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Other duties may be assigned.
Learn and assist in developing team members in all TPS principles.
Walk through materials department with previous shift's team leader to address any issues or concerns.
Ensure shift is fully staffed and overtime needs are covered with the approval of Shipping Coordinator or Materials Manager.
Check E-mail for special shipments and prepare paperwork; call in pre-approved carriers as required.
Conduct meeting with team members at beginning of shift to communicate problems or concerns; conduct exercise activities.
Ensure pre-start checklist on forklifts is performed daily and issues are communicated to Shipping Coordinator.
Verify any damages to dock doors, dock plates or forklifts; obtain approval from Shipping Coordinator for repairs prior to calling in repair company.
Audit training documentation to ensure all team members are trained in latest procedures.
Ensure all 5S tasks are performed.
Perform weekly cycle counts as required.
Repack service parts as required for shipment.
Assist in training new team members and in cross-training current team members.
Fill in for call-offs and standard crew size when needed.
Load finished goods labels in cells 30 minutes before end of shift.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Microsoft Office applications--Word and Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid UGN issued forklift license.
