About Teacher - Early Childhood

  Position Type: Teaching: Elementary School/Early Childhood Location: Birch Grove Elementary Closing Date: Until Filled Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district, school and/or program for which employed; maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, working with them in the development of their scholar; design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; provide in-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning when applicable and work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district and building leadership activities. Design and deliver an equitable, interactive learning program to engage and educate early childhood developmental and SEL needs. We are looking for a vibrant preschool teacher to educate, care for, and inspire the young minds at our preschool. Using a variety of teaching methods, including artistic expression, educational play, and storytelling, you will teach children to identify shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, while providing them with foundational life skills and preparing them for the next stage of formal education. Classroom Teacher Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor s Degree required MN teaching license in appropriate field, OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.* If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2.* *Additional information can be found at MN Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). To be successful as a preschool teacher, you should have the patience, compassion, and energy to successfully guide a class of young children, each of whom will have different needs, abilities, aptitudes, and emotions. The best candidate will also have excellent administrative and organizational skills, in order to plan curriculums and create reports on each child's progress. Experience with diverse populations of children and adults from a wide variety of cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds.
