See details about what we do.This position is a member of our Stationary Source Programs Team in the Air Quality Division.Here's what you'll be doing...Provide highly advanced technical and engineering expertise in the planning, development, and implementation of stationary source control strategies associated with the State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the Air Quality Division of the TCEQ.Plan, develop, and implement emission control techniques, which includes reviewing and evaluating regulations, standards, procedures, and technologies for potential control strategies; calculating costs; evaluating emissions inventory data and other data; developing spreadsheets/data sheets to evaluate control strategy effectiveness in coordination with modeling and emissions inventory staff; and researching, developing, and evaluating programs in conjunction with appropriate TCEQ offices and outside organizations, including other state/federal agencies, affected entities, environmental organizations, and the general public.Coordinate and draft revisions to air quality regulations, SIP, policies, or procedures in response to federal or state requirements, agency initiatives, or rulemaking petitions, which includes providing technical assistance on rule teams as a team member and managing rule projects as a rule project manager. Evaluate and recommend responses to request for rule interpretations of TCEQ rules using all available and appropriate information including but not limited to rule language, preambles, background documents, and prior interpretations.Communicate the status of rule revisions or policy development activities to division or executive management, agency staff, other state/federal agencies, affected entities, environmental organizations, and the general public and facilitates open negotiations via telephone calls and correspondence. Participate in and represent the agency at internal and external meetings, workshops, and trainings. Coordinate and assist other team members with stakeholder group activities.Coordinate, organize, and implement complex special assignments in preparation for or support of specific projects, which involves evaluating engineering data; completing or coordinating research and analysis of issues; preparation of required reports and recommendations; presentation of reports; recommendations to agency management and other interested parties; and development of any required implementation plans or documents as assigned.Do you think you are good fit for our team?
