Job Title: General Production Worker

Responsibilities

Monitor containers filling up with material.

Swap full containers with empty ones.

Record finished good weights in a computer database and on paper.

Label finished products and transfer materials to the warehouse using a forklift.

Operate a forklift 10% of the day.

Shovel, sweep, and clean material on the floor.

Organize the production area and stock empty containers.

Lift up to 50 lbs consistently and climb stairs throughout the shift.

Assist with prepping packaged material for orders, including shrink-wrapping packages, banding drums, and filling 50lb pails.

Perform outdoor tasks such as filling garbage and scrap metal containers.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.

Experience climbing up and down stairs throughout the shift.

Sit-down propane forklift experience with at least 3 months of experience.

Experience in a rougher environment such as steel, construction, or outdoor work.

Tolerance for a dusty workplace.

Steel-toed boots.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Production/Manufacturing experience.

Recent production experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Romulus, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00
