  KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Seasonal Intern to join our Washington National Tax (https://tax.kpmg.us/services/washington-national-tax.html) practice.

  Responsibilities:

  Work closely with other groups firmwide in WNT to provide tax advice to a full range of business clients, including major multinational clients

  Research complex corporate and partnership tax issues

  Draft tax memoranda and outlines and slides for speeches

  Help draft articles and other items for both internal and external distribution

  Assist in developing tools, templates and spreadsheets firmwide SALT professionals

  Qualifications:

  Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: a JD or LLM in Taxation from an accredited college or university

  Preferred: Degrees and/or areas of study: Accounting and Taxation

  Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

  Excellent research skills with the ability to articulate complex information

  Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

  Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

  Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation

  Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice

  Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
