　　Near Totowa, New Jersey area, a firm is looking to fill a multi-faceted Tax Preparer role. Apply now through Robert Half. The Tax Preparer is obligated to execute the preparation of simple and complex, individual and small business State and Federal tax returns. 　　Major responsibilities

　　Hand-operate transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies

　　Answer incoming client calls to facilitate tax questions and set appointments

　　Call or email clients to gather fundamental information/documents

　　Type appropriate data into Tax software application

　　Figure and invoice for form preparation fees

　　Balance other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

　　Requirements - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred

　　Experience with high volume data entry

　　Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

　　Solid understanding of Annual Tax

　　Command of Corporate Tax Return

　　Adeptness in Ultra Tax

　　Data entry experience

　　QuickBooks experience preferred

　　Strong familiarity with personal taxes
