Description

　　We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to focus on Brazil Tax Audit and Planning activities for Amazon Brazil. This position will be based in São Paulo office.

　　The position will be part of a team that works closely with business partners and members of the Corporate Teams. This function is critical to ensuring Controls, Audits and Business Processes are well placed, and that the relevant tax technical analysis of such activities are properly documented. The ideal candidate will have in-depth Brazil indirect taxes technical knowledge with experience on Litigation, Tax Audits and evaluating and advising on international business initiatives and proposals.

　　Candidate must be able to work closely with members across a global tax department as well as non-tax stakeholder teams (e.g., Accounting, Legal, Finance), and communicate business plans, obtain tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination and execution of cross-functional tax solutions in a sustainable manner. Candidate must be able to communicate, both in writing and orally, complex tax concepts in ways that are understandable and useful to non-tax professionals.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　• Management and coordination of Audits, Litigation and Tax Projects.

　　• Ensuring Key Controls and Risk Management Processes are detailed and implemented, minimizing risk and exposure to penalties;

　　• Overseeing the receipt; managing, tracking, of inquiries and communications to business teams and stakeholders.

　　• Identifying and tracking new legislation, planning and policy trends.

　　• Working with partner teams to conduct internal reviews and risk assessments.

　　• Providing Brazil indirect tax planning inputs to both local and global projects.

　　• Drafting tax technical memos and opinions.

　　• Liaising with advisors and tax authorities on matters relating to Brazil tax planning.

　　• Analyzing and supporting legislative changes for Brazil tax field that impact Amazon’s businesses;

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Bachelor degree in law, business or accounting

　　Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

　　Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word

　　Advanced English

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience with Oracle and Access
