In this position you will assist in thepreparation and analysis of tax records and reports including federaland state income tax, sales and use tax and property tax. The positionwill also be responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterlyjournal entries to record the accounting for income taxes in the monthlyand quarterly financial statements. This is a hybrid position and willwork remotely and report to the Madison, WI office an average twice perweek. Candidates must reside in Wisconsin. Responsibilities: * Usingestablished procedures and methodologies aids in the preparation of taxrecords, returns, reports, and other regulated materials. * Under closesupervision, analyzes, and reviews tax records and reports. * Followingstandard practices and procedures prepares source input, parametertables, and other details of the tax accounting system, tax reports andother accounting related reports. * Applies limited judgment anddiscretion when making recommendations for tax accounting adjustments,procedural changes and compliance with company procedures and variousfederal, state and local regulations in all areas. * Under instructionof manager, researches issues related to application of generallyaccepted accounting principles and regulatory accounting requirements asapplied to presentation of utility tax information. * Performsmiscellaneous tasks which require a fundamental understanding of taxrules and regulations.
