Description

A reputable firm in Fallbrook is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will manage a variety of tax-related responsibilities, including preparing returns, providing strategic tax planning advice, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns in compliance with applicable laws.

Analyze financial records and provide tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.

Stay up-to-date on tax regulations and make recommendations regarding changes that could impact clients or the firm.

Respond to client inquiries and provide accurate, professional advice regarding tax-related matters.

Assist with audits by gathering financial data and preparing documentation as needed.

Provide tax forecasting and planning services to help clients achieve financial goals.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

3+ years of tax accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or tax advisory setting.

CPA designation or working toward CPA status preferred.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.

Proficiency with tax software and accounting tools such as Lacerte, ProSeries, or similar platforms.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
