  Land, Buildings & Real Estate (LBRE) is the operational core of Stanford University’s physical campus.   We are looking for a Talent Development Manager to join the LBRE Human Resources (LBRE-HR) team. This role will report to the Executive Director, Human Resources to play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining training and development programs within LBRE. This high-profile role will deliver a best-in-class leadership development program by consulting with business leaders on leadership challenges, and leverage data and insights to design learning opportunities at scale. This position requires an individual who has experience building and executing integrated learning initiatives that drive high performance and enhance employee experience. This position will also help drive change management strategies, champion initiatives, and bring new ideas and innovative approaches to the development of staff at LBRE. This position will partner closely with HR Managers, University Human Resources, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) to create and implement a practical framework for developing staff now and for the future.

  We are open to a hybrid work arrangement (a combination of onsite and work from home). The number of days may vary depending on business need, but the expectation is that this position will be onsite a minimum of 2 days/week. The onsite work location is Stanford Redwood City Campus, 415 Broadway, Redwood City, California but travel to the Stanford Campus, Stanford, California may be required at times.

  Core Responsibilities*:

  Develop and execute inclusive people programs and strategies that engage, retain, and develop LBRE employees, including but not limited to onboarding, performance management, talent review, and succession planning.

  Design, implement, and manage ongoing management and leadership development philosophy and strategy.

  Provide professional coaching for employees/program participants.

  Deploy measurement system to track and report progress on talent management to senior leaders.

  Advise and make recommendations on talent management problems and practices.

  Facilitate team retreats as needed.

  Represent and/or present LBRE’s talent strategy and programs to other schools/units including University Human Resources.

  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  Education & Experience:

  Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  Demonstrated ability to establish a strong partnership with the senior human resources partners and other members of the management team.

  Deep expertise and experience developing and implementing effective talent management solutions, including workforce planning, learning and development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.

  Strong instructional/curriculum design skills and experience.

  Strong program/project management skills and experience.

  Strong presentation skills.

  Ability to build the confidence of others through open communication and respectful behavior.

  Ability to connect with customers, partners, suppliers, and colleagues across functions to achieve significant results.

  Certifications and Licenses:

  SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

  DiSC Certified Practitioner preferred.

  WORK STANDARDS:

  The expected pay range for this position is $134,000 - $158,000 per annum.

  Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
