Position Summary
This is an Mid level opportunity and as the Systems Tableau Engineer responsible for:
Technical Contribution to the team to as a Solution provided, modernize the environment, work with business partners for new requirement. Provide inputs and implement various ideas and guidelines for stability of Tableau multiple platforms.
Key player for migration of environment from on-prem to the cloud, document plan, implement and create SOP document.
Working closely within the Engineering team and with other teams in the IT Enterprise Systems organization to ensure the delivery of effective and highly available infrastructure to meet agreed upon SLAs.
Maintaining and supporting multiple enterprise infrastructures (on-prem, cloud, etc.).
Performing administrator functions Tableau platforms in Azure, GCP and on-prem in LINUX and Windows.
Please note this position requires being able to work after hours and some weekends to support on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of overall technical experience with Tableau Administration and Report development.
5+ years experience with Platform - Setting standards & guidelines on the environments. Gathering business requirements, establishing relationships with business partners and planning project implementations.
5+ years supporting Large Tableau configurations on clustered Windows & LINUX platforms for multiple business units.
5+ years installing, configuring, and maintaining multiple Tableau products – Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop, LBLM, Tableau Management Tools.
Auditing and Monitoring with technologies like Dynatrace, Splunk, Tivoli and Topaz
Managing content, onboarding Sites, deploying, migrating and sunsetting content
Troubleshooting to resolve support issues in a timely manner as defined in SLA’s
Preferred Qualifications
Windows administration skills: performance monitoring, event logs, scripting, etc. LINUX Experience is also needed
Customer service experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues
Detail oriented with a focus on process improvement; provide solutions utilizing automation to address known issues proactively
Automation of Infrastructure
A motivated individual who can work in a large-scale high-pressure environment with multiple teams. The individual should be a team player who has the drive to work in an Administrator/Production Support role
An individual who can learn and adapt to rapidly changing technology
Works with application development, architecture, technology, and vendor teams on a variety of applications and initiatives. Support BI infrastructure working with Technology groups and Vendor partners
Works independently to research issues; root cause analysis to find and recommend solutions for identified problems or technical challenges
Enforce/establish enterprise standards and educate end users on proper use of the platform including creating and maintaining online documentation
