This is a remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S. except Montana, New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
As an Inventory Planning Supervisor you will lead a team and be responsible for the carrying out the inventory strategy, health, and projections.
The Inventory Planning Supervisor will be responsible for the end-to-end inventory stocking, procurement flow and order creation, ensuring availability meet the company goals. The Inventory Planning Supervisor will lead a team that creates orders, supports and resolves inventory issues for multiple suppliers and internal categories. This role works with large sets of data, requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills to understand and address inventory issues.
Success in this role will be meeting or exceeding key performance indicators along with leading a team of inventory analysts, being able to effectively collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders.
Inventory Management.* [25%]
responsible for the inventory plan, health, and projections for purchasing
Scenario planning on inventory changes, impacts to fill rate, and forecasts
Communicating and managing excess and constrained inventory.
Developing and articulating solutions/improvements which focus on win-win outcomes for both our suppliers and internal financial goals.
Training and Development. * [25%]
Develop and provide training, tools, and communication that support the overall purchasing and category strategies with emphasis on:
inventory receipts and inventory plan that support having the right product at the right place and amount to achieve company targets.
Order pipeline creation and management along with PowerBi integration
Stockout identification and proactive ordering
People Leadership.* [30%]
Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, and mentorship to elevate the team, team knowledge and team effectiveness.
Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports: putting your team on a path to greatness.
Leverage up-to-date training and technology to build skill sets of yourself and the team.

Cross Functional Partnership.* [15%]
Collaborate across the organization to ensure procurement strategies align to category trends and financial needs
Communication and lead receipts projections with suppliers and internal stakeholders creating alignment and understand on what is expected and when
Partnering with inventory analyst and suppliers on product flow expectations and solving gaps to improve functional product flow efficiency for QBP.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years of purchasing, supply chain, demand planning or related experience
4-year bachelor’s degree preferred
Continuous improvement mindset
Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal communication
Ability to effectively manage priorities with changing initiatives
Ability to coach others through motivation, education and support
Ability to ask critical questions of your team and to challenge their opinions/assumptions appropriately
