The portfolio of active engine development programs spans liquid rocket engine products of varying size and cycle, to systems of thrusters designed for reaction control of various space vehicles.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Management of team of direct report Systems Engineers that owns the development, decomposition, and management of requirements and verification activities, supports the system safety process, and guides day-to-day technical decision making, peer reviews, and gated reviews for the programOwning formal performance management of team of direct report Systems EngineersEngaging in development of team of direct report Systems EngineersPartnering with program leaders to develop staffing plans for Systems Engineering support, and supporting formal staffing activities to maintain needed levels of supportPartnering with program leaders on implementation of Systems Engineering within the programPartnering with the Blue Engine Systems management team in fostering a system-of-systems perspective and culture, and integrating systems engineering methodology throughout the life cycle of engine development, production, certification, and operationsSupporting Systems Engineering process development and process improvement activities in alignment with the other members of the functional management team and the Engines Design OfficeMinimum Qualifications:B.S. degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.6+ years of Systems Engineering experience, including complex system development projects within the Aerospace, automotive or similar safety critical industry.5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading functionally aligned team members and indirect/matrixed program team membersProven knowledge and strong fundamentals in systems engineering approachesAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and help build a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree (M.S.) or higher in aerospace, systems engineering or a related fieldCompensation range for on site WA applicants is$136,620---$191,268 USDInclusivity StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
