　　The Strategic Platforms Department is looking for Systems Engineers who are interested in experiencing all elements of the communication design process including system-level trades, requirements development, communication system architecture and design, performance assessment, integration and test, verification, validation and support of fielded products. Successful candidates should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive. This position is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, IA.

　　This position may be eligible for relocation.

　　Primary Responsibilities:

　　Acts as the direct interface to capture customer requirements and operational concepts to be translated into a system architecture and design.

　　Performs functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

　　Provides analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develops verification criteria and plans for the requirements.

　　Researches and evaluates investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization’s systems products and services.

　　Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions. 

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Master's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.

　　Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
