Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for aSystems Engineersupporting the Mobile Command and Control System Program Office in the AirForce Life Cycle Management Center.This position is located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:Conduct reviews on the program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommendalternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes,manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/performsystem-level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance isachieved in accordance with approved specificationsPerform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systemsengineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem andsystem performance is achieved in accordance with program specificationsPrepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommendsystem/subsystem characteristics. Prepares management reports and conductstechnical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective actionusing the application of engineering economy principlesPerform validation of systems, including the development of criteria andprocedures. Analyze and/or evaluate the results of major engineering systemsProvide system/program engineering, technical support and technicaltraining to support programs/initiatives, including but not limited toacquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continuedevolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project riskmanagement activities in compliance with AF SEAM processesProvide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies based onengineering performance, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, costperformance, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability,maintainability, risk, and schedule.Provide technical recommendation support services, including reviews,studies, audits, evaluations and analyses, scientific and proceduralguidance, documentation, technical analysis, and support of associatedengineerProvide proposal analysis support services that compare and quantify proposedsystems, components, and approaches for technical feasibility,compatibility, and cost-effectivenessProvide concepts and requirements analyses support services including, butnot limited to, reviewing and analyzing:Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs),Capability Development Documents (CDDs),Capability Production Documents (CPDs),Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs),Military Utility Assessments (MUAs)Concepts of Operation (CONOPs),Technology Development Strategies,Functional/Physical Configuration AuditsTechnology Standards ProfilesReview and analyze system concepts and user requirements that have beenapproved and entered into a system requirements baseline (functional,allocated, and product)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Citizenship: Must be a US CitizenClearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret SecurityClearance with the ability to obtain SCI.Education: Bachelor's DegreeYears of Experience: 12 years of experience in the respectivetechnical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be inthe DoD OR,Master's degree and 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoDPreferred Qualifications (not required):Education: BS and/or MS in Mechanical, Automotive, Civil, orElectrical Engineering or related fieldExperience:Experience in integrating disparate systems onto mobile...
