  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator III in Glen Burnie, MD.

  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  The Systems Administrator III maintains, configures, and ensures the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. They install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. They troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues. They provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure. They perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. They lead desktop and help desk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions. They are responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure. The Systems Administrator III is a senior role with extensive experience in all aspects of configuring and maintaining IT systems. The Systems Administrator III supervises and mentors subordinate projects and Team ManTech staff.

  Basic Qualifications:

  9 years of related experienceMinimum Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in a related area OR a HS Degree and 13 years’ experience OR Associate and 11 years of experience.

  A candidate holding a relevant master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

  Required Certifications

  5 years of position-specific relevant experience.

  DoD 8570.01-m Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification.

  Bachelor's degree in IT-related discipline.

  Desired Certifications

  Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration or Engineering.Security Clearance Requirements:

  Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law. ManTech may choose not to apply for a license for such individuals whose access to export-controlled technology or software source code may require authorization and may decline to proceed with an applicant on that basis alone.
