Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a full-time Engineer/experienced technician who will support System-Level Testing on the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) onboard the Navy s OHIO/Vanguard and COLUMBIA/Dreadnought Class Ballistic Missile Submarines. The selected candidate will be working and interfacing with numerous engineering teams supporting Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).
The selected candidate will:
Support on-site system-level testing, data collection, data analysis, and documentation
Track and solve test anomalies and prepare associated test analysis reports
Develop test requirements, test plans, test procedures, and evaluation techniques to support system integration and requirements verification/validation
Work collaboratively in a team setting with mechanical and electrical engineering team members
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typical education and years of related/relevant work experience required:
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or other related science, engineering or technical degree and at least four years of related/relevant work experience OR at least six years of SSBN SWS experience in lieu of a degree
Must be willing and able to travel at least 10% of the time
Ability to work and communicate well with management, customers, and their contractors including ability to provide clear and concise presentation/demonstration of advanced technical concepts
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to interpret and follow requirements
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
SSBN Navigation Electronics Technician with TRIDENT II SWS/SWSS deployed experience
3-5 years of professional experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems engineering, design, fabrication, interface definition, system testing, system integration, and/or requirements verification/validation
Current D-5 TRIDENT SWS Technical / Operational system knowledge
Working knowledge of SSP
Experience working with the SSP Test Program
Experience with Systems Engineering principles including requirements development, allocation and analysis
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
