OVERVIEWThe System Design Engineer duties include the development of system/subsystem design and requirements, software requirements, integration, and verification test. They shall ensure the design has been fully defined, traceable, and validated during testing down to the components and software requirments.They shall ensure that all of their tasks and quality products are completed on-time.This is a Hybrid position within our Engineering organization. This role allows the employee to work offsite but also requires onsite work as needed. This position requires the employee to be onsite up to 80%.This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. Land Systems continues to work with the US Armed Forces and its Allies to ensure these vehicles remain survivable, relevant, flexible, affordable, and capable of addressing a dynamic threat environment.RESPONSIBILITIESDefine and ensure traceability of the system and subsystem requirements and software requirementsPerform functional analysis to develop flows and concepts of executionDesignand develop the system and subsystem architecture, interfaces, and design including commonality considerationsDecompose system and subsystem performance and verification requirements, and develop design verification plans and reportsIdentify, define, and manage power, data, and other system interfacesEnsure the system, subsystem, and component interfaces are maintainedSupport managingpower and network bandwidth allocations for vehicle functionsEnsure the system design aligns across physical, power, data, and softwareIntegrate and verify the system and subsystem components in the Lab/VehicleDefine and execute system and subsystem integration, test, and verification plansProvide technical inputs to planning, schedules, and cost estimatesAchieve proficiency in one or multiple domains (e.g., Power, Fire Control, Diagnostics, Information Assurance, C4, Software User Interface design, etc.)REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
