IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking aSystems Architect, with experience in enterprise level systems architecture, to provide Systems Engineering technical services. In support of the customer, you will assist with the development of enterprise architecture and conduct systems engineering analysis that will facilitate system of systems integration across the Army and Joint Force.
The system architect position currently available is located at Redstone Arsenal, AL, where you will be working with the Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing / Space Cross-Functional Team (APNT/S CFT).
Education and General Experience:
Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) Degree, Bachelors and twelve (12) years or more experience; Masters and ten (10) years or more experience; PhD or JD and eight (8) years or more experienceActive Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance; TS/ SCI preferredProven experience with technical fundamentals in existing Army programs (e.g. ground vehicles, aviation, missile defense, long range fires/ artillery, Soldier systems)Expert-level proficiency with use of architecting to support senior level enterprise decision makingExpert-level proficiency with architecture toolsExperience in the development and maintenance of architecture products across the span of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), to include Project Views, Capability Views, Operational Views, System/Service Views, Standard Views and Data and Information ViewsFamiliar with and able to develop architecture artifacts using common modelling standards and languages (e.g. Unified Profile for MODAF and DoDAF (UPDM) Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modelling Language (SysML) and Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN)Experience utilizing MagicDrawArchitecture domain understanding from a holistic enterprise perspectiveAbility to recommend enterprise architecture tradeoffs, impacts, and advancementProven experience in development and use of modeling for architecture solutionsExpert-level understanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processesExperience with lifecycle readiness from System Requirements Review through system decommissioningDemonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsCustomer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forumsJob Duties:
Developing architectural framework using Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for a large enterpriseLeading a system engineering team in collaboration and approval of engineering products through engineering reviews and engineering milestone eventsWorking across multiple Offices and Organizations to identify and define needsIdentifying and defining future capability and interoperability needsIdentifying key architecture and system level tradesDeveloping strategies in support of Department of Defense (DoD) architecturesAssessing the performance of current and future architecture conceptsProviding technical and programmatic guidance to the architecture and system level requirements processDevelop architecture models to capture the holistic view of the enterprisePreparing briefings for senior decision makersClearance Requirements: Must have a Secret Clearance or be able to obtain a Clearance to qualify for this position.
