System Administrator

　　Salt Lake City, Utah

　　The System Administrator follows all processes and procedures to ensure the security, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, data, and IT/OT(SCADA) networks. The role manages the virtualization infrastructure, including SAN’s, networks, backups, hardware, and software. They actively resolve problems and work to limit system disruptions. In the event of disruptions, they are available to resolve issues. The role will interface with the rest of the IT systems and development team to understand and accommodate their needs.

　　Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization infrastructure for VMware vSphere, including installation, configuration, and management of ESXi, DRS, HA, NSX, vSAN, etc

　　Work with underlying Virtualization hardware and network features, including vSAN

　　Technical specialist in Firewalls, VMware NSX

　　Automate where possible (Scripting, PHP, PowerShell), implement and improve processes where necessary

　　Ensure successful backup of infrastructure components and recovery procedures

　　Respond to after-hours incidents and alerts, including participating in on-call rotation

　　Aid in onboarding of new applications, including isolation and configuration hardening

　　Network experience with Cisco Enterprise products, routing and VOIP is a plus

　　Knowledge of Database Administration is a plus

　　Other duties as assigned

　　Qualifications, Education and Experience:

　　Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field (computer science, information systems) or equivalent experience.

　　7+ years of experience in Information Technology, systems administration, and VMware.

　　4+ years of windows server infrastructure experience

　　2+ years in PowerShell scripting is a plus

　　Technical certifications from Microsoft, VMware, and other IT-related certifications are a plus.

　　Qualifications, Competencies

　　Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, and organized.

　　Excellent interpersonal skills; works well with IT team members and end-users.

　　Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities

　　Understanding of enterprise IT operations concepts, including the OSI 7-layer model, firewalls, endpoint security, backup, and cloud technologies.

　　Storage technologies, RAID levels, File Systems, Fiber Channel, iSCSI, file sharing.

　　Understanding of DBA duties and concepts is a plus
