Odyssey Systems is actively seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator fora critical role at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. Thisposition resides within the SZQ organization, which plays a vital part insupporting national missile warning missions. The Systems Administrator IIIwill be responsible for the upkeep, development, and enhancement of anon-premises cloud system, essential for the ContinuousIntegration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) development pipelines. Thisrole is central to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of cloud-basedinfrastructures that are crucial for the operation and security ofmission-critical radar systems. The successful candidate will be pivotal inmanaging, optimizing, and safeguarding this infrastructure, aligningtheir efforts with SZQ's strategic objectives in missile defense.This is a full time position located in Colorado Springs, CO located atPeterson SFB in building 2025.Contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:Design, implementation, and support of Active Directory, DNS,DNSSEC, Certificate Services, and Active Directory Federation Services.Setting up Windows servers, applications, clients, and network servicesincluding Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11, Group Policies,DHCP, DNS, Internet Information Services, SQL Server, and more.Creating scripts for automating routine tasks and monitoring systemperformance.Diagnosing and solving software server, software, and networking issues.Maintaining performance metrics and providing regular updates to the technicalprogram manager.Resolving issues and escalating unresolvable ones to the technical programmanager.Building rapport with team members, management, stakeholders,infrastructure teams, and interface groups.Executing virus updates, patching, and service pack management,including testing, deployment, staging, and documentation.Designing performance monitoring processes and improving disaster recoveryprocesses utilizing virtualization.Addressing issues related to legacy Windows servers, applications, andoperating systems.Assisting in Windows audit and compliance systems.Participating in change and configuration management processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:Citizenship: Must be a US CitizenClearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.Certificates: Must hold a current Security+ CE Certification or anequivalent as per DOD 8570 IAT II certification requirementsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalentYears of Experience: 15 years directly related experience; to include 8years of DoDAdditional experience:Quantified experience on WindowsMust be able to learn quickly and independently, and be a team playerPreferred Qualifications:Clearance: Top SecretCertification: System Administration certifications based on DoD 8570 IATEducation: Bachelor's degreeYears' of experience: 12 years directly related experience; to include 5years of DoDAdditional experience:Experience in cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines is highlydesirable.Other relevant certifications (such as Microsoft, Cisco, Redhat, orVMWare certifications) are advantageous but not mandatoryLeadership experience or potential is a plusAdditional Information:Location: Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs CO - Building 2025Travel: Potential for minimal travel (less than 10%)Hybrid: In-office with the potential for hybrid flexibility approx. 1 day aweek following the first 6-9 months of employment (subject to change per thecustomer's...
