As our Surgical Tech II at St. Joseph Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.

The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

With the area’s only Level II Trauma Center the first Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center and the first accredited Chest Pain Center in the Brazos Valley; CHI St. Joseph Health is a leader in critical care and the largest provider of cardiovascular care in the region. We are offering a $5,000 Sign on Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization

Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you’ll be supporting

Adapt to the needs of emergency situations

Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

1+ Years Of Experience In Surgical Tech role

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST/CSFA) required as of September 1, 2010

American Heart Associate BLS CPR

Pay Range

$21.23 - $29.20 /hour
