Assure the efficient, continued operation of generated power by effectively directing, providing technical advice, and supervising the maintenance and repair of various plant instruments and controls and the electrical maintenance of the plant. Will have direct supervisory responsibilities, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with subordinates, follow-up, and administrative skill sets; and will oversee the maintenance and repair of instruments and controls while anticipating problems and initiating corrective action. Must always maintain a high level of professionalism and possess a progressive, dynamic attitude toward solving problems and working with other team members. * Provide direction, coaching and continued training for Journeyman and Apprentices in new technology, standards, and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work force. * Set the standard for safety, quality and productivity through clear and frequent communications with the maintenance staff. * Actively lead and fully support efforts to improve equipment reliability and productivity through RCM studies, predictive maintenance, root-cause analysis, procedure development, and the workflow process of maintenance work. * Develop and manage with the planning/scheduling team members, a weekly schedule that supports the operational needs of the plant and daily work assignments. * Ensure work documentation is accurate, complete, and entered into the CMMS in a timely fashion by yourself and your crews. * Set expectations and hold assigned crews accountable for productivity, work documentation, safety and reliability; develop and execute strategies for improvements as needs are identified.
Education and Experience Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and extensive technical experience in the operation and maintenance of power generation instrumentation and controls. Successful completion of a certified Instrument and Control Technician apprenticeship, or equivalent training and education is preferred plus at least five years’ experience in instrumentation and controls systems is required.

Demonstrates values of honesty, integrity, respect for others, teamwork and collaboration, accountability and performance.Knowledgeable in the maintenance of all types of power plant electrical equipment and able to research resources for information to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong computer skills. Knowledge of OSHA standards and company policies and safety standards preferred. Ability to coach, counsel, and handle conflict, and to remain calm and collected in high stress times. Must be highly organized and be able to create detailed reports. Ability to perform the physical activities of the job (includes but is not limited to climbing, color vision, depth perception, hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, walking, outside work, etc.). Ability to easily handle multiple priorities; visualize, analyze and make decisions with limited data; process information in an orderly, accurate and timely manner; and operate within short time frames. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a highly demanding team atmosphere. Ability to simultaneously keep multiple tasks in controlled motion.Working Conditions: Power plant conditions including the necessity to be able to climb ladders/stairs, lift 20 lbs, and work from heights.
