Responsibilities Utilize the Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) to review records processed through the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP). Create inventory schedules of individual property book accounts to provide account holders an electronic hand receipt. Monitor work orders for modification, installation, relocation, removal, etc. to ensure expenditures are entered correctly. Assist Property Book Officer (PBO) with auditing property transactions to ensure proper justification. Maintain audit trail of Depot property using the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) utilizing various computer software programs for monthly inventories, 2) recommending new processes or procedures for property inventories, and 3) communicating effectively with all personnel to coordinate proper inventory control procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
